class began with the question " is America the greatest country in the world?" Mr. Schick mentioned that after we saw an eight minute video with an actor drumming off statistics about how we are not the best country in the world, we automatically began to think the same way about our country. So, after Mr. Schick announced that we do have a quiz this week, he had us prepare by going on the CIA world fact book. Our task was to research facts about how America is or is not the best country in the world. The most interesting point was that the US produces the second most amount of oil in the world, yet we import a lot as well. This was pretty scary because we may not have a sustainable amount of oil in the future. Mr. Schick proposed the idea of solar panels. He mentioned how much cheaper it is and how better it is for he environment. Some people in the class had a hard time accepting this idea, but I thought that the idea was genius.
