cross country championships

Today, I was not in Human Geo class because I was at the IAAM champonships at Oregon ridge on  3 mile hilly course. championships  went pretty well considering we were not a strong team this year, but learned a lot that will improve myself as a runner.  The team did as expected, 6th place out of 8 teams, which was probably a disapointment for the sophomores, juniors, and seniors, because the team won championships last year. I was glad to end my freshman cross country season running on varsity, and being the number 2 girl on John Carroll's Cross country team, especially after coming off an appendicitis. Adria finished first for John Carroll ( and in the top ten overall at a time of 20:10), and I was second for John Carroll, barely, it was less than a one second difference (21:06 and 21:07).  Afterwords, we all met in a building at Oregon Ridge for awards. We were all sad to see Mcdonough get the trophy that was once ours, but that is what will make us a better team next year. On the way back to school, we stopped at Wegmans and had dinner. The ride home was so much fun, because Emma and I split a full sized container of ice cream, and that was the best decision we ever made ( oh yes, we ate the WHOLE thing, minus a few spoonfuls from fellow ice cream lovers).

  1. 21:06?!? Wow! Outstanding time! Nice work! You'll be breaking 20 next - maybe next year!
