class today 10.17.14

Today in human geography we learned about political geography. We looked at what makes a country a country, a nation a nation, a state a state, and what a nation state is. A country is any identifiable land area. a nation is a population with a common culture, and a state is a population under a single government. A nation state is just what it sounds like, a single culture under a single government.   Then we went over what our weekend assignment will be, to research the politics om 12 countries that the united states are dealing with.  They are Mexico, Germany,Syria, Canada, UK, China, India, France, Japan, Russia, Israel, and Brazil. This is a sixty point assignment, and am ready to get started.
